National Association Medical Staff Services Announces
Official Launch of NAMSS PASS Electronic Connectivity Program

Washington, DC (October 31, 2013) – The National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is pleased to announce that the NAMSS PASS Electronic Connectivity Program (ECP) is now live and open to vendors and healthcare systems.

NAMSS PASS™ is a secure, on-line database that provides access to the primary source affiliation history for healthcare practitioners nationwide. The NAMSS PASS Electronic Connectivity Program (ECP) is designed to help health care entities (HCE) and vendors connect their credentialing-related software systems to the NAMSS PASS™ database.

Vendors and HCEs that have successfully implemented the ECP will receive “NAMSS PASS ECP Certified” designation. IntelliSoft Group, LLC, and Aurora Health Care are the first organizations in the U.S. to receive the “ECP Certified” designation, as announced during the recent NAMSS 37th Educational Conference & Exhibition in Hollywood, Florida in September.

“Patient safety is NAMSS’ top priority,” said NAMSS President-Elect, John Pastrano. “NAMSS members are the gatekeepers of patient safety and NAMSS PASS is a critical tool for ensuring that every practitioner is providing a complete history of their affiliations, thereby helping to ensure safe and competent patient care.”

NAMSS PASS was launched in January, 2013 and currently has more than 250 participating entities. For more information about NAMSS PASS and the Electronic Connectivity Program, visit www.namss.org or contact Andy Lock, NAMSS PASS, at info@namsspass.com.
