Our Mission is to provide continuing education, a framework for professional networking, and to promote professional knowledge and skills.
What is KAMSS
KAMSS is a professional association of individuals responsible for support services of a medical staff organization and was formed to provide the opportunity for continuing education and to promote the improvement of professional knowledge and skill by uniting persons who are engaged in medical staff activities throughout this state organization under the auspices of the national organization. KAMSS was established in 1989 by several individuals working in hospital medical staff offices throughout Kansas who saw a need to develop a supportive network with others in the profession and organized KAMSS.
KAMSS is proud to announce a cooperative membership with the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS), effective immediately. This is one of the first membership partnerships between NAMSS, the national organization, and a state medical staff services organization. The cooperative will help drive membership to both KAMSS and NAMSS through marketing partnerships, promotional strategies and collaboration at various events and programs throughout the year. The goal of both organizations is to help medical services professionals broaden their professional knowledge and qualifications in the fields of medical staff and credentialing services by providing a full range of benefits - including advocacy, certification, education, information and networking at the state and national levels.
Who Should Join KAMSS?
Medical Staff Coordinators; Directors/Managers of Medical Staff Services; Managed Care Professionals; Medical Staff Assistants; Administrative Assistants; Medical Staff Services Consultants; Credentialing Specialists; Health Information Managers; Risk Managers; and any individual responsible for supportive services required if an organization is to realize the advantages that accrue from having a smooth functioning medical staff organization.
