A key component of the credentialing process is review and evaluation of the information obtained from state Medical Licensing Boards. Participants in this program will learn what state medical licensing boards are doing today and what licensure really means. The session will explore future challenges faced by medical regulatory systems and discuss strategies for achieving the mission of public protection.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will gain greater understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Federation of State Medical Boards.
- Participants will gain greater understanding of medical board licensure and regulatory processes.
- Participants will be able to identify trends in healthcare that will affect the future of physician licensing and regulation.
