SPEAKERS:
Christine “Cris” Mobley, CPMSM, CPCS
Lynn L. Buchanan, CPMSM, CPCS
SESSION DESCRIPTION:
Credentialing is BIG business these days, and duplication is costly. This program will explore what considerations are necessary when contemplating a centralized verification service and/or other credentialing services. If you're thinking about such a service, have recently put together a centralized service, have started using a centralized service, and/or are still working out the “bugs”, this program is for you! We'll discuss centralized services from both points of view – from the “provider” (System CVS) as well as the “user” (hospital, surgi-center, clinic, other).
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
* Identify the need and develop justification for centralized services (project management)
* Understand components of an action plan for CVS development and approval
* Define components of the centralized service – needs/wants of the healthcare system and needs/wants of “user”
* Identify positive impact on productivity and customer service
* Anticipate and prepare for Murphy's Law and other
LENGTH:
1.5 hours
