Q. What is the process for beginning a NAMSS on-line course?
A. You may purchase any of the courses with a credit card in the NAMSS Place section of the web site. The cost per course is $99 for members, $125 for non-members. A package of all four courses is $350 for members, $450 for non-members.

Once the transaction is complete, you will receive an email confirming your purchase. At the bottom of this email, there is a link to access the on-line course(s). If you are not taken directly to the course(s) homepage and are prompted to login:

• NAMSS members : Your login and password credentials are the same as your member login credentials.
• Non-NAMSS members : Your login and password credentials are the same as those you created to make the purchase in NAMSS Place.

Q. Can I earn continuing education credits?
A. Yes. These courses are designed to serve as continuing education coursework, presenting an overview of a specific topic in the medical services profession . Each course is worth 1.5 continuing education credits. Credits earned by participating in and completing these courses can be applied toward the 30-hour recertification requirement for the CPMSM and CPCS credentials.

Q. How long does it take to complete a course?
A. For every fifty minutes of instruction and education, one continuing education credit is assigned. Each course contains 1.5 applicable hours of CE credit; therefore you can assume that each course will take on average between 80 – 90 minutes to complete.

Q. How often can I access the course online?
A. Each course is accessible 24 hours per day.

Q. What is the format of the course and what kinds of activities will be involved?
A. The material will be presented as a PowerPoint presentation accompanied by text and audio. Once you reach the end of a course, you will be asked to complete a short quiz covering the material in the course. You have an unlimited number of attempts to successfully complete the quiz. After successfully completing the quiz, you will be prompted to print your certificate of completion.

Q. What is the cancellation and refund policy?
A.  All requests for cancellations and refunds must be made in writing within 14 days of date of purchase.  Refunds will be issued less a non-refundable $50 processing fee.
