
Welcome to the New Jersey State Association Medical Staff Services (NJSAMSS) website. We are committed to supporting, encouraging and providing ongoing educational and networking opportunities for Medical Staff Services and Managed Care Professionals.
Mission Statement: To enhance and promote the image of the Medical Staff Services Professional and increase recognition of this important role among administrators and medical staff leaders and provide the vital information necessary to meet the challenges and opportunities in the healthcare industry into the 21st century.
The NJSAMSS was established in 1993 and consists of the North Jersey and South Jersey local chapters. Membership in the State association is automatic upon joining one of the local chapters. Members represent the Hospitals, Health Care Systems, Managed Care Organizations, Physician Offices, and Health Care Entities in New Jersey and adjoining states that are involved with the administration of medical staff/health care organizations and are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical services management and credentialing services to the public and the institutions they serve. We currently have participating members in the categories of Active, Courtesy, and Honorary.
The objectives of this association are to:
- Provide an organized structure for those individuals in the New Jersey area engaged in medical staff/health care organization activities, enabling them to work together on matters of mutual interest;
- Conduct educational programs for NAMSS approved Continuing Education Credits which can be applied for recertification requirements;
- Serve as a resource to hospitals/health care organizations/physician offices within New Jersey and surrounding areas; and
- Promote the purpose of and membership in the National Association Medical Staff Services.
