NAMSS 42nd Educational Conference & Exhibition

Lightning Learning

Lightning Learning Abstracts Accepted Now through June 29

The NAMSS Conference Committee invites you to submit a Lightning Learning abstract to be featured at the  42nd Educational Conference & Exhibition, September 29 – October 3 in Long Beach, California. This year's conference theme, Innovation for Patient Safety, will serve as the inspiration for the Lightning Learning presentations. These PowerPoint presentations allow you to share your individual experiences so others can gain insight and find ways to innovate in their own personal journey.

How to Submit:

Submit your Lightning Learning abstract using our online form. Your abstract should be a short description of your work and must include the following:

  1. Title – Make the title brief and clearly indicate the nature of the new idea, concept or process. (120 characters maximum, including spaces)
  2. My Innovation – Describe the new idea, concept, process, or any other learning experience. (250 words maximum)
  3. The Pathway to Something New – Describe why the innovation was needed and what it took to make that change happen. (250 words maximum)
  4. The Change that Took Place – What was the outcome of the innovation? (250 words maximum)
  5. Broader Implications for Patient Safety – How has this innovation helped in terms of Patient Safety?  (250 words maximum)

All abstracts are due Friday, June 29. Selected presentations will be displayed on large screens in the Exhibit Hall, where you will be assigned a 10 minute time slot to present your presentation. Additionally, all selected presentations will be featured on the NAMSS mobile application (available in September) and the NAMSS website. Presenters must register and attend the 42nd Educational Conference and Exhibition
