This session will provide an overview into the new health care landscape whereby provider and performance data and information is being shared among providers, payers, regulators, and other organizations.  The program will identify the types of organizations requesting this information and examples of the data being shared both internally and externally in an effort to improve quality and performance and to promote efficiency in health care processes such as credentialing and privileging.  The program will also cover legal and regulatory considerations related to sharing such information and measures and identify safeguards and measures providers can implement to protect the organization when releasing this information.
