Anne M. Wynne, MHA, CPMSM, CPCS

System Director, Medical Staff Services

Trinity Health

Holly, MI

Candidate Statement:

I’m excited to submit my nomination for the position of secretary/treasurer on the NAMSS board.  In the past 3 years as a director at large, I’ve seen first-hand the commitment that our organization has to member education, certification, and building visibility for the profession. If selected, I will build on our momentum and continue to advocate for all NAMSS members as we navigate through the challenging landscape of healthcare.

I started in medical staff services in 1996, as a medical staff coordinator for a small health system and moved into a leadership position in 2007 following several years as a stay-at- home mom.  In 2014, I began my role as system director of medical staff services for Trinity Health.  Our CVO and medical staff services teams are responsible for 35,000 providers across 93 hospitals in 26 states.  I also provide oversight of our delegated payer credentialing team and the interprofessional continuing education team.  It’s a demanding role, but I love my work and am fortunate to be supported by leadership that encourages volunteerism.

I’m a previous chapter president for the Michigan Association of Medical Staff Services and have served several terms on the NAMSS Membership Committee and the NAMSS Audit and Finance Committee.  Currently, I serve as chairperson of the NAMSS Ethics Committee.  I also enjoy mentoring and have taken advantage of the new mentoring platform to engage with several fellow MSPs.

In my work at Trinity and in my role with NAMSS, I work hard to build collaborative relationships and break down silos.  I’m energized by our expansion into the realm of provider enrollment and want to ensure that NAMSS stays at the forefront of the technological advancements that will change the way we work.  I can’t deny that there are challenges ahead for our profession and for the healthcare industry.  Fortunately, NAMSS is made up of a talented group of medical services professionals, and we are strong.  It would be an honor and a privilege to serve as your secretary/treasurer, and I thank you for considering my nomination.

Director-At-Large Candidates

Three positions will be elected, each with three-year terms from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028.

Candidates are listed in alphabetical order below.

Jennifer Brand, MHA, CPCS

Credentialing Manager

Legacy Health

Portland, OR

Candidate Statement:

I am deeply interested in serving as a Director-at-Large (DAL) because I believe in the NAMSS mission and values, and I value the NAMSS members as professional colleagues. My professional background in credentialing and operational management has equipped me with the skills necessary to contribute effectively to NAMSS goals in addition to the duties required as Director-at-Large. I am passionate about fostering a service-oriented environment and driving strategic initiatives that support the organization's growth and success.

Upon receiving my master’s in healthcare administration a decade ago, I switched fields from the legal field to healthcare credentialing. I started off as a Credentialing Specialist, and moved up to Lead, Supervisor, and now Manager of my amazing and dynamic team of absolute stellar professionals. Upon realizing credentialing would be my professional ‘home’, I joined NAMSS and my state organization and obtained my CPCS certification.

I pride myself on being the boss I would want. I am a servant leader above all. It seems to resonate with my team: our department boasts incredibly low turnover and industry-leading turnaround timeframes for both reappointments and initial applications. Credentialing is a field intended to help people: specifically, patients. As a leader in credentialing, I aim to help my team do the best work they can. As DAL, my aim is to serve my NAMSS colleagues however I can.

In addition to my professional experience, I have a strong commitment to volunteerism both within and outside the credentialing field. I am the librarian for my state association, a role that tickles my bookish heart. I serve on the Advisory Committee for Physician Credentialing Information (ACPCI). Our annual meetings help shape the state-mandated credentialing applications. Outside of credentialing, I have volunteered weekly at Cat Adoption Team for nearly 8 years. Serving others, be it human or animal, truly fills my cup.

I embrace change and view it as an opportunity for growth and innovation. My adaptability has allowed me to successfully navigate evolving industry standards and implement effective solutions. Serving as DAL would allow me to leverage my expertise in process improvement, compliance, and team leadership, as well as my volunteer experience, to help navigate challenges and seize opportunities. I am committed to working diligently with fellow NAMSS members to ensure the organization continues to thrive and make a positive impact.

Dustin Jackson, MHA, CPCS, CPMSM

System Director, Medical Staff Services

MultiCare Health System

Tacoma, WA

Candidate Statement:

It has been my privilege and honor to work as an MSP for the past sixteen years where I have been able to learn and grow professionally and personally.  When I was first introduced to NAMSS early in my career, I felt a whole new door was opened for me.  I learned very quickly that NAMSS wasn’t just a large and mysterious organization, but rather NAMSS is a group of people that shared my passion for the role, education, learning, and growth.  NAMSS is built on the volunteers who work tirelessly to enhance our profession.  NAMSS is made up of the members across our country who seek collaboration and connection.  Simply put, this organization is the people that pour into each other continuously to ensure that MSPs are equipped to perform at the highest possible level.

As I reflect on the NAMSS leaders, volunteers, and members that have poured into me throughout my career, I understand that everything I have accomplished in my career is because of this gift.  Every step in my career I’ve had fellow MSPs that have mentored, educated, and encouraged me to grow.  I learned quickly when others see something in me that I couldn’t see in myself, I needed to listen and explore that path.

I am seeking the nomination to serve as a Director at Large on the NAMSS Board of Directors because it would be the greatest honor to give back to an organization that has given so much to me.  Serving the members of NAMSS in this capacity would not only allow me to pour into others in a new way but also allows me to pay forward the tremendous contributions that have been given by the professionals that make up our organization.  I humbly continue to seek the support of my fellow members to be able to serve you as a Director at Large.
