How to Contribute Data
Credentialing Software Integrations
NAMSS is partnering with leading credentialing software vendors to seamlessly integrate hospital affiliation data — eliminating manual uploads and saving time. Below are the software companies that are already connected through the NAMSS PASS Electronic Connectivity Program (ECP).
MD-Staff:
The MD-Staff-NAMSS PASS® Electronic Connectivity Program (ECP) integrates NAMSS PASS® , a national affiliation data exchange that allows organizations to securely share and retrieve practitioner affiliation history, into MD-Staff so MD-Staff users can seamlessly access NAMSS PASS® data. Credentialing Stream:
Credentialing Stream is still building an integration with NAMSS PASS. If you are a Credentialing Stream user, your organization can securely share data automatically with NAMSS PASS and query the system. To opt into this feature, contact NAMSS PASS directly at support@namsspass.com.
Excel Uploads
If your credentialing software does not automatically integrate with NAMSS PASS, you can add data via an Excel spreadsheet. We encourage you to upload updated affiliation data regularly to ensure the most accurate and valuable information is available to users nationwide. Tip: Many credentialing software vendors already support the NAMSS PASS file format. Check with your software provider before creating a file manually.
Set Up Your Organizational Profile
In the “Your Data” section of NAMSS PASS, upload:
- Your affiliation data file (Excel format)
- Your organization logo
- Authorized signature for affiliation letters
Determine your facility structure:
Multiple facilities with separate letterheads:
- Create one affiliation letter template for each facility.
- Upload a separate data file, logo, and signature for each facility.
Multiple facilities with one shared letterhead:
- Use a single affiliation letter template and one data file.
- Include the facility name for each practitioner within the data file.
Upload your affiliate data:
NAMSS PASS accepts a simple Excel spreadsheet that can typically be generated directly from most credentialing systems. Required data fields include:
- First Name
- Last Name
- NPI (when available)
- License Number
- License State
- Affiliation Start Date
- End Date (or "Current")
- Specialty
- Affiliation Status
- Letter Designation
Additional fields such as department, facility location, practitioner photo, and comments may also be included.
Now you are live!
Once your file, logo, and signature are uploaded, your data becomes available through NAMSS PASS and can be used for affiliation verification searches by authorized users.
